THE PICKUP - AMAZON STUDIOS

Coming to Prime Video in August of 2025, The Pickup is a heist comedy starring the incomparable Eddie Murphy, the hilarious Pete Davidson, and the multi-hyphenate Keke Palmer.

Directed by Tim Story, in the film, a routine cash pickup takes a wild turn when two mismatched armored truck drivers, Russell (Eddie Murphy) and Travis (Pete Davidson), are ambushed by ruthless criminals led by a savvy mastermind, Zoe (Keke Palmer), with plans that go way beyond the cash cargo. As chaos unfolds around them, the unlikely duo must navigate high-risk danger, clashing personalities, and one very bad day that keeps getting worse.

During production of the film in Atlanta, GA, myself and Dana Flowers were tasked with creating a key art shoot with legendary photographer Kwaku Alston, that would encapsulate the complexity of the film, and the nuance of the different sides that all of the characters are playing.

As people know, Eddie is a tough one to lock down, but we were able to get him for a couple of hours to shoot this emblematic key art that balances the story in a way that will get the audience excited for the heists of all heists.
